The Joint Improvement Partnership (JIP) seeks to improve adult social care across the East of England through partnership working between Local Authorities with Adult Social Care responsibilities, partner organisations, the voluntary sector and people who use services and carers in the East of England.
In 2010/ 2011 there were nine JIP work streams: these included Adult Safeguarding; Continuing Care; Streamlining Social Procurement; Learning Disabilties; Organisation and Performance and TASC. Under each work stream section of the site can be found details of the projects, events, relevant organisations, and a selection of JIP and national resources.
In 2011/ 2012 JIP will continue the following work streams: Sector Led Improvement , Adult Safeguarding, Learning Disabilties, EEDAPP, Clinical Commissioning including the Health and Wellbeing Learning Set; JIP will also continue to support the JSNA and Regional Performance Improvement Board, and the Transition Network.
By sharing positive practice in this way, we can improve learning and efficiency across adult social care across localities.
The JIP is funded by Improvement East and the Department of Health Social Care and Partnership Teams in the East of England. The JIP is lead by the Association of Directors of Adult Social Services (ADASS).
This website is a hub of communication for all directors and commissioners of adult social care and it also aims to support people's understanding of the performance of the local public sector agencies in their area.
